Once again before a packed house, the Village of Natchez failed to pass a sewer rate increase tied to state grant dollars.
Alderman Sheila Johnson made the motion to approve the increase, however, it died due to a lack of second by Aldermen Monique Sarpy and McKinley Hoover. Such action took place Jan.16 during a special called meeting.
