Rist brings home 2nd consecutive goalkeeper of the week award

    For the second time in as many weeks, Rist takes home the Southland Conference Goalkeeper of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday.

    Her two weekly awards matches Libe Banuelos’ total from last season and it is the first time a Demons keeper has won the goalkeeper of the week award multiple weeks in a row to begin a season since Acelya Aydogmus did it in the first three weeks in the Spring 2021 season.

    After stopping 19 shots in week one, she stopped seven more shots in a 1-0-1 week, which included her first career shutout in the scoreless draw last Thursday at Tarleton State.
