U.S Navy’s. 6th Fleet held a joint celebration of its 75th anniversary and the Navy’s 250th birthday onboard its flagship, the Blue Ridge-Class Command and Control ship USS Mount Whitney stationed in Italy. The U.S. Navy includes nearly 300 ships and thousands of aircraft. On any given day, 100 ships and submarines are deployed overseas or sailing across oceans far and near as the world’s most advanced naval aircraft patrol the skies above.
