Sunday, Bro. Wayne Salley brought the message from Hebrew 2:14. He said, “People are falling away from God. Are you drifting away from God?”
Sometimes we push ourselves to the limit. It’s easy to step out of God’s will. Maybe you are right there, it’s not pleasing to God. You may be just about to the point of not coming back to God. You must add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness. (2 Peter 1:56) Grow in grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. (2 Peter 3:18) Be aware that children watch what adults do. (Ephesians 6:4) “And you, fathers do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord.” Read Ephesians 4:14. Bring your children to church. Hell is real! It doesn’t end. That one decision is for eternity. Take God’s word. God needs to hear from you in your prayer. Do not take the preacher’s word. Take God’s word. Fellowship with one another as Christians. Romans 14:19 – “Therefore let us pursue the things which make for peace and the things by which one may edify another.” Worship Him in one accord. He paid the price on the cross for our sins.
