Kenneth Eugene Kay was born on October 21, 1968 to the home of William Edward Kay and Kathryn Elaine Craig Kay and departed this world on April 24, 2024.
Kenneth loved nature and working outside. He had accomplished a lot during his lifetime and took advantage of every opportunity to learn something new.
He worked for Northern Natural Gas in Iowa and Omaha, Nebraska as a chief inspector. He enjoyed hunting and fishing as well as sports and music, especially old time Gospel hymns by Alan Jackson. Kenneth loved his family and friends and will be missed by all.
Private funeral services were held at Rockett-Nettles Funeral Home with Bro. Harry Bamburg officiating and interment was in Thomas-Wren Cemetery.
Kenneth is preceded in death by his wife of 25 years, Becky Lea Kay, who passed away August 24, 2019. Since her passing, Kenneth has been lost. He has shed a lot of tears and gone through lots of heartache, but he finally decided that life must go on. He is also preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Sam and Odell Craig and his paternal grandparents, Lawrence and Nelwyn Kay.
Left to cherish his memories include his two sons, Jonathon Kay and Joshua Kay (Bre); two grandchildren, Hannah and Noah; his father, Edward Kay and his mother, Kathryn Craig Kay; two brothers, Randy Kay (Terri) and Stephen Kay (Tina); niece, Shelby Kay Eziel (Craig) and their children, Kaydence and Colt; nephew, Darren Keel (Jessica) and special friend, Chad Bratton.
