“We wanted to create a place for students to sit and meet. To this end, we designed multiple tall ‘trees’ with boulders and a path to make a space where people can go to meet friends or read a book.

Town of Many getting ready to host Fall Festival Oct. 19

Come celebrate the season with the Town of Many at the third annual Many Fall Festival slated for Saturday, Oct. 19, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Many Square and on Main Street. This beloved event promises to be a day centered around children, making it a day the whole family will enjoy!

Lambertown homecoming is Sunday

The 54th Lambertown Cemetery Homecoming will be Sunday Oct. 6 at Shamrock Advent Christian Church on Shamrock Loop off Hwy. 120 in Robeline.The devotion will begin at 10 a.m. and business meeting at 11 a.m. Dinner on the grounds will follow.Come and bring a covered dish and enjoy the fellowship.

See You at the Pole

Students at Marthaville Elementary/Junior High, above, and St Mary’s left, schools gathered at their respective campuses Wednesday morning around the flagpole to pray for their schools, friends, teachers, government, and nation.

Celebration of Life

The City Council declared Michele Smith and Rosemarie Fenchel Day on Oct. 3, the date of the Celebration of Life fundraiser gala. Smith and Fenchel will be the speakers at the Women’s Resource Center gala and were honored for their dedication and advocating for the unborn.

Guest artists to work with dance students on ‘Dreamscapes’

Guest artists Brandon Collwes and Eric Rivera will be creating and staging works for “Dreamscapes,” which will be presented Oct. 17-19 by Northwestern State University Theatre and Dance.Collwes was with the Merce Cunningham Dance Company and is now with the Liz Gerring Dance Company.
