Following the All-School Mass for Catholic Schools Week Jan. 28, Kelly Savell, Pre-K teacher, was named the 2025–26 recipient of the Em W. Knipmeyer Excellence in Teaching Award — the highest honor bestowed on a St. Mary’s teacher.

This award, now in its 21st year, celebrates educators who go the extra mile in the spirit of Em W. Knipmeyer, a 1941 St. Mary’s graduate, teacher and former principal.
