The Christmas Festival is cashless. NO cash accepted at ticket booths or by festival vendors. No green tickets. Saturday, Dec. 20 Downtown Riverbank $15 admission after 1pm, ages 6 and under are FREE 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. Cookies with Santa $ 10 a.m. - 9 p.m.

FAUNA has 29 puppies that must be vaccinated. To help cover the costs, some $3,000, plus food, volunteers will be sitting at Exchange Bank on Front Street Saturday, Dec. 20 selling tickets for a chance to take home a giant Raising Cane’s Plush Pup. Two pups will be given away. Tickets are $1 each.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises the traveling public that the $7 million project to repair a stretch of LA 9 in Natchitoches Parish continues to make progress.The project is providing improvements to a nearly 7 mile section of LA 9 from US 71 in Campti to LA 156.

Entergy Louisiana signed a 20-year agreement with pipeline operator Energy ransfer last s month for natural gas deliveries that will generate electricity to Meta’s AI data center in northeast Louisiana and the local grid.
