Council gets Opioid money for distribution

The Parish Council tended to a full agenda at its meeting Monday.Among the highlights was Parish Treasurer Julie Lockhart’s announcement that she received the Parish’s Opioid Settlement of approximately $300,000.

Jaycees toy drive nearing deadline for donations of Christmas toys

The holiday season is here and that means it’s time for one of Natchitoches’ most heartwarming traditions— the M*A*S*H (Make A Smile Happen) Toy Drive.For nearly three decades, the event by the Natchitoches Area Jaycees, has brought Christmas joy to thousands of children across Natchitoches Parish.
