Law enforcement agencies will monitor sex offenders Halloween

The Natchitoches Parish Sheriff ’s Office, in partnership with Louisiana Probation and Parole–Natchitoches District Office, are planning and preparing to monitor registered sex offenders and suspicious community activity during Halloween trick-or-treating on Friday, Oct. 31.

NSU Music Academy plans concert

The NSU Music Academy will hold its fall ensemble concert on Saturday, Nov. 1 at 11 a.m. in Magale Recital Hall. Admission is free.The concert theme is “Princes, Princesses, & Pirates!” In keeping with the theme, students will dress up for their performances.

The Natchitoches Red Hat Sisters went to Merci Beaucoup for lunch Oct. 13. This was Joan Sheffield’s event for the month. She asked us to bring a copy of our favorite recipe to share with everyone and tell something about it. Maybe, if they wanted, to make the recipe for everyone to taste.

Calvary Baptist Church will host a Fall Festival Saturday, Oct.25 from 5:30-7 p.m. The trunk-or-treat festival will be free popcorn, candy lemonade, warm cider, games prizes, jump house, fun, hot dogs and pulled pork sandwiches. Donations will go towards Operation Christmas Child.
