Boil advisory lifted

The City of Natchitoches Distribution System would like to notify the public that the Boil Advisory issued for Keyser Ave. from Parkway to Village of St. Anne, including Masonic Dr., Martin Dr., and all of Chinquapin Village on Wednesday, Oct. 1,  has been lifted.

Early voting continues

As of press time on Wednesday, 538 local voters have gone to the polls in the Oct. 11 election. Early voting continues through Oct. 4 from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Natchitoches Parish Registrar of Voters Office at 200 Church St.

‘Champions of Child Welfare’ is Oct. 3 at NSU

Northwestern State University Title IV-E Child Welfare Scholar Program will host “Champions of Child Welfare: A Homecoming,” dedicated on learning, building connections and honoring the vital work of child welfare professionals. The symposium will take place from 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday, Oct.

Classic Car Show

The Natchitoches Historic District Business Association and the City will host the 2025 Classic Car Show downtown Friday, Oct. 3-Saturday, Oct. 4. Hundreds of people are expected to crowd the downtown riverbank and Front Street to see the vintage vehicles. Organizers expect some 500 entries.

Painting class begins today, Thursday

Northwestern State University’s Office of Electronic Learning and Global Education will offer a Pick Up Your Brush painting class Oct. 2 and 16 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on the second floor of South Hall. The fee is $45.

Horn concert is Thursday at NSU
