NSU to Offer Summer Driver Education Course

NATCHITOCHES – Northwestern State University’s Office of Electronic Learning and Global Education will offer summer sessions of a 38-hour driver education course in June and July.The first session begins on June 8, and the second on July 6. Students must be 15 years old on or before Sept.

Sunday morning May 10, 2026, at First Baptist Church Coushatta was a busy one. In addition to the church honoring moms with brunch and special Mother’s Day gifts, the church also honored nine graduates during the morning service.

Murder victim found in vehicle on Grace Avenue after shots fired

The Natchitoches Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred Saturday afternoon on Grace Avenue.On May 9, around 5:22 p.m., officers with the Natchitoches Police Department were dispatched to the area of Grace Avenue and Dixie Street in reference to gunshots in the area.
