Arkansas man dies in wreck on Hwy. 173

Arkansas man was killed in Natchitoches Parish crash. On Jan. 14, at 11 p.m., Louisiana State Police Troop E responded to a one-vehicle crash on LA Highway 174.The crash claimed the life of 50-year-old Patrick T. Funderburk of Conway, AR.

Jan. 8-18 1. Jordan Bennett, 32 (wf), arrested for DWI fist offense, driving on roadway laned for traffic 2. Myron Jones, 54 (bm), arrested for failure to appear 3. Chester Taylor, 45 (bm), arrested for failure to appear 4. Donnie Blake, 51 (bm), arrested for failure to appear 5. Cameron Lewis.

Two locals named to La. Travel Association board

The Louisiana Travel Association (LTA) installed a group of tourism industry leaders as new officers for its executive committee and board of directors after the completion of the associmtion’s annual Meeting at City Club in River Ranch.

Convention and Visitors Bureau personnel are academy graduates

Paige Alost, director of the Natchitoches Area Convention and Visitors Bureau, and Meshelle Morgan, operations manager, celebrated their graduation from the Louisiana Tourism Leadership Academy (LTLA) at the Louisiana Tourism Association’s annual meeting in Lafayette Jan. 22.
