The Natchitoches Police Department is investigating a shooting that left one person dead.
On Dec. 27, around 11 p.m., NPD officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Fairgrounds Road. in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival they located a victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers i began to render aid while other first responders were arriving to the area.
