The Northwestern State Demons were defeated by the Nicholls Colonels, 3-0 (25-21, 25-17 and 25-23) Saturday afternoon in Southland Conference action at Stopher Gymnasium.The Demons (1-21, 0-8 SLC) dropped a hard fought first set as they trailed 21-20 late in the frame.

NSU soccer sweeps Southland Conference weekly awards

After a pair of shutout victories this past week, Northwestern State not only is on the brink of its second Southland Conference championship in five seasons but also earned a sweep of the SLC weekly awards, the conference announced Tuesday.
