Demons’ fourth-quarter rally at HCU comes up short

For the second straight visit to Texas’ largest city, the Northwestern State football team put itself in position to score its first road victory of the season.

Demons down Texas A&M-Corpus Christi for second straight win

There was no way Kendall Hemperley was letting the Northwestern State soccer team lose the ‘Fork Cancer’ game.

Demons defeated in 3 sets

The Northwestern State Demons’ volleyball team lost 3-0 (25-12, 25-12 and 15) Thursday night on the road to the Southeastern Louisiana University Lady Lions in Southland Conference action.The Demons (1-18, 05 SLC) got four kills from junior senior Deja Benjamin in the opening set.

Benjamin records 400th career kill

Deja Benjamin recorded her 400th career kill for The Northwestern State Demons, but the team was defeated by the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Islanders, 3-0 (25-22, 25-15 and 25-18) Saturday afternoon in Southland conference volleyball action.

Northwestern drops conference opener to Lions

A night of missed chances and relentless rushing ended in a frustrating and disappointing Homecoming night for Northwestern State in its 40-10 loss to East Texas A&M.The theme of the night played out in the first two drives of the night.

Johnston ready to face East Texas A&M again as different quarterback

When Abram Johnston took the field for the first time as Northwestern State’s starting quarterback last season, nerves traveled with him.Through the understandable butterflies he flashed promise, throwing for 301 yards and a touchdown.
