Eleven Northwestern State athletes won their events, as they fought through the elements to have strong days on the second and final day of the Pelican Relays on the campus of Southern.

Northwestern State women’s team showed its strong depth, as it emerged with a 5-2 victory at LSUShreveport on Monday afternoon at the Pilot Tennis Courts.The Lady Demons (7-6) won on singles courts 2-5 to solidify the win after coming away with the doubles point.

Maygan Shaw proves time and time again she is one of the best runners to ever grace Northwestern State.While she has owned the 400meter dash, Shaw proved she is not too shabby at the 200-meter dash either. She ran a personal-best 23.42 to win the event at the Bobcat Invitational.
