Fast-starting Demons blow past LeTourneau

The Northwestern State baseball team bounced back with aplomb Tuesday night.For a night, the Demons found the complementary pieces they have searched for and responded to three-game Southland Conference sweep with an 18-1, seven-inning victory against visiting LeTourneau at Brown-Stroud Field.

Northwestern opens six-game homestand by hosting LeTourneau

A week after defeating Southern-New Orleans in the first game between the teams, the Demons will host LeTourneau at 6 p.m. on ESPN+ at the new-look Brown-Stroud Field.“We’re excited to get back out and play,” second- year head coach Chris Bertrand said.

In 1964, the Central High School Boys’ Basketball Team played in the playoff at Grambling State University. Although they lost the playoffs, the team was named the best team of the decade. Charles Bloodworth was inducted in the Northwestern State University Hall of Fame in 2015.
