Registration open for a pair of soccer prospect ID camps

Registration has opened for a pair of Northwestern State Prospect ID soccer camps.The camps are open for girls entering eighth grade up to college sophomores, with the camps taking place July 19 and July 20.Each camp runs from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Demon Soccer Complex.

Benton’s grand slam helps Demons roll past Central Arkansas

The result of Braden Benton’s swing at a 1-0 slider in the seventh inning of Sunday’s Northwestern State baseball game against Central Arkansas was a grand slam.But it was what went into that game-changing swing that impressed second-year head coach Chris Bertrand.

Men’s 4x400 relay team breaks school record at Tyson Invitational

Another day, another school record broken by the Northwestern State track & field teams.For the second time in as many meets, the men’s 4x400 relay team was the record breaker.After running a 3:10.87 last time out to break the school record in the event, it did not take long for that record to fall.

Demons’ midweek opener at ULM postponed until April 8

Northwestern State will have to wait a bit to play its first midweek game of the 2025 baseball season.The Demons’ scheduled Wednesday matchup with ULM in Monroe was postponed because of expected weather conditions in the area.The game has been rescheduled for April 8 in Monroe.

Northwestern State women’s tennis team traveled to Mobile, Alabama, to play the South Alabama Jaguars. The Lady Demons (0-4) lost their fourth match of the season.In her first match of the 2025 season, Senior Ayu Ishibashi picked up a win over USA’s Cristina Tchanichev 64, 6-3 at the No. 6 spot.
