Northwestern hopes to end the season on a high note

The Northwestern State football team caps its 2024 season against one of its newer Southland Conference rivals.While the Demons and HCU have met just six times, their 2 p.m. Saturday matchup on ESPN+ features a matchup of first-year head coaches who are quite familiar with one another.
During the Nov 8 of regular season football games, Omarion Pierre, Jeremy Lowe and Haiden Nelson were named Player of-the-Week from their respectve schools by Natchitoches Leadership Through Athletics Committee (NLTAC) and Raising Cane’s Restaurant.

The Northwestern State women’s basketball team hung around for more than one half, but the size of Texas A&M proved too much in a 7554 loss Sunday afternoon at Reed Arena on the second game of a back-to-back.

While the result of Saturday’s Senior Day was mostly the same as the balance of the 2024 Northwestern State football season, there was enough subtlety for first-year head coach Blaine McCorkle to notice.
The Louisiana Lightning 11U baseball team won 2nd place in the USSSA Fall Ball Closer Tournament in Pineville, LA. The team is Coached by former NSU right handed pitcher #45 Dawson Flowers and NSU center fielder #24 Reese Lipoma. Pictured in front row from left are Archer Johnson, Adam Todtenbier, Luke Fair, Carter Hough, Callen Bertrand, and Carson Gentry.
