Lady Demons fall short on final day in Waco

Free passes and missed chances cost Northwestern State a pair of games Sunday in the final day of the Getterman Classic at Baylor.The Demons (0-5) put runners on base in five of the seven innings against New Mexico (23) but were unable to produce any runs in a 2-0 loss to the Lobos.

A late push was not enough to overcome free-throw volume and second-chance scoring, as the Northwestern State men’s basketball team fell 75–64 to New Orleans on Saturday afternoon at Lakefront Arena.

Several post PRs at Pittsburg State Invitational

Twelve Northwestern State athletes collected personal bests in their second meet of the season at the Pittsburg State Invitational on Saturday.Among those personal bests were veteran sprinters Sileena Farrell and Kalen Beavers in the 60-meter dash.
