Soccer Prospect ID camps are now open for girls in 8th grade

Spots remain open for Northwestern State’s soccer’s back-toback Prospect ID camps. It is now open for girls in eighth grade up until college sophomores. The original youngest grade was ninth, but it was changed to girls who are in eighth grade.The first session is July 20 and the second is July 21.

Chris Bertrand Summer Prospect Camp is slated for Aug. 17

Registration is open for the Chris Bertrand Summer Prospect Camp, set for Aug. 17.The one-day event will take place at Parc Natchitoches, located at 4515 University Parkway in Natchitoches.It is is open to high school freshmen through college seniors.

Northwestern’s Heimerman named SLC Women’s Coach of the Year

A total team effort from the Northwestern State track and field athletes and coaches to earn the Southland Conference Women’s Outdoor Championship earned Mike Heimerman the SLC Women’s Coach of the Year, the conference announced Tuesday.
Micah Murchison, Thea Foshee, Gabe Vargas, Amy Stepp, Chase Stepp, Kaislyn Stepp, Ridic Meraz, Xoe Lester, Jorian Dodd, Rhynn Lacombe, Anistyn Rhodes, Emerson Rodrigue, Skylar Correa, Traven Matthews and Elise Vidrine.
