Attorney General Liz Murrill’s Office procured an indictment this week for former Louisiana House Speaker Clay Schexnayder over the missing of a rare state artifact.
After an investigation by the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation, a grand jury returned a true bill indictment for Schexnayder.
He is charged with felony grand theft greater than $25,000 and malfeasance in office.
