Natchitoches Parish Sheriff ’s Office detectives have arrested a Goldonna man who was already being held at the Natchitoches Detention Center on unrelated charges in connection with a theft investigation in the Goldonna area, according to Sheriff Stuart Wright.
On Friday, Oct. 3, , deputies were notified of a theft in the 200 block of Salt Pit Road near Goldonna. They learned a Yamaha outboard motor, valued at more than $2,500, had been removed from a 14-foot aluminum boat located on the property. An offense report was completed and forwarded to the NPSO Criminal Investigations Bureau.
Detectives initiated an investigation that included re-interviewing the complainant, speaking with potential witnesses, and gathering evidence. As the investigation progressed, detectives identified 36-year-old Joshua A. Sanders of Goldonna as a person of interest.
