At 21 years old Ty Gary has already built a life rooted in service, community, and opportunity, much of which he found after moving to Natchitoches in 2022.
Originally from Elton, Gary grew up in a large family with five sisters and two brothers. He said that sense of closeness and connection is part of what naturally drew him to Natchitoches, a city he visited often during childhood holiday trips.
“When I was trying to choose a school, Natchitoches was one of the first places I thought about,” Gary said. “I didn’t know exactly what I wanted to do yet, but it felt right, so I stuck with it.”
