The Natchitoches Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred Sunday morning on South Drive.
On Nov. 23 around 11:24 a.m., officers with the Natchitoches Police Department were dispatched to the 1800 block of South Drive in reference to gunshots in the area. Upon officers arrival located a victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Officers on s began to render aid while other first responders were arriving. The victim was transported to the Natchitoches Regional Medical Center and later airlifted to a hospital in Caddo Parish for further treatment.
