NSU literary magazine created by students ‘Nana’s Icebox’ is live online

“Nana’s Icebox,” a single- issue literary magazine created by students in a senior-level class at Northwestern State University, is available to readers online at https://www.argusatnsu la.com/nana-s-ice-box.

Students in Dr. Rebecca Macijeski’s English 4380 Special Projects class created “Nana’s Icebox,” which features original writing and visual art by young creatives from across Louisiana. Macijeski is an associate professor and coordinator of Creative Writing Programs at NSU.

“Students learned about the history and scope of literary magazines, and then created their own from start to finish,” Macijeski said. “They went from concept to submissions to magazine production and publication all in one semester. Special thanks go out to Argus and Argus’ Website Manager Caitlin White for help getting this online.” Argus is NSU’s annual art and literary magazine.
