‘Playing in the Mud’ is beginning ceramic class to start Sept. 11

A beginning ceramics class, “Playing in the Mud,” will be offered through Northwestern State University’s Office of Electronic Learning and Global Education starting Sept. 11.The class will be held on Thursday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. through Oct. 16 in Room 113 of the Fine Arts Annex.

Pork plates and music by DJ Martin will raise funds for Kilby Mangham

A benefit fundraiser for Kolby Mangham will be at the Spanish Lake Community Catholic Hall on Saturday, Aug. 30.Pull pork plates and music with DJ James Martin start at 4 p.m. Supper and dance proceeds will go to offset expenses incurred for young Kolbs’s ICU neo-natal care in Houston.
