Miss Meat Pie Pageant is Sept. 5

The Natchitoches Meat Pie Festival Pageant will be Sept. 5.The Basic entry fee if $55; Teen Miss and Ms. entry fees are $75. The age ranges are from0 to Ms. and winners will receive custom crowns and banners.There will be a $500 scholarship for the Miss queen at the end of her reign.

Village of Natchez meeting rescheduled

The Village of Natchez, 219 Main Street, Natchez, has rescheduled the regular Town Hall Meeting from Aug, 6 to Aug. 13, at 6 p.m. due to the LMA Convention, Aug. 4-6, in Monroe.

NSU developing Child Welfare Simulation Lab to provide gently used items for families

–The Louisiana Title IV-E Child Welfare Program at Northwestern State University is developing a Child Welfare Simulation Lab to provide hands-on learning experiences for students preparing for careers in child welfare.

NSU gets approval from FAA to offer unmanned pilots license exam

Northwestern State University’s Advanced Remote Geospatial Operations (ARGO) program has earned approval from the Federal Aviation Administration and PSI, the FAA’s official testing partner, to offer the Unmanned Aircraft pilots license exam.
