AARP announces grants for 5 Louisiana grantees

AARP announced June 23 five organizations throughout Louisiana will receive Community Challenge grants.The grants are part of AARP’s $4.2 million commitment to fund 383 quick-action projects aimed at making communities more livable for people of all ages, with a focus on the needs of older adults.

Village introduces budget; demolition funds at risk

Two agenda items topped the Village of Natchez regular monthly meeting on July 3.First, the proposed budget for fiscal year 2025-2026 was introduced. Total proposed revenues in the sewer fund are $117, 994; total proposed expenditures are $59,950 leaving a proposed fund balance of $58,004.
