New seawall underway downtown on Cane River

The Cane River National Heritage Area, in partnership with the Cane River Waterway Commission and the City of Natchitoches, has begun construction on a new seawall along the east side of Cane River Lake in downtown Natchitoches.

Annual fish for free weekend is June 7-8

LaDOTD to inspect Red River Bridge

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), advises that on Tuesday, June 3 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., weather permitting, the bridge on LA 6 over Red River will be reduced to one lane for routine bridge inspection. The bridge is located 2.3 Miles North of JCT 3175.
