The Natchitoches Parish Sheriff ’s Office welcomed four new last week during a swearing- in ceremony conducted by Natchitoches Parish Clerk of Court David Stamey.

JT is glad to see that the NatchitochesPolice Department is addressing “canvassers, solicitors and peddlers” since folks north end of Williams Avenue near the dam were alarmed last week. Someone was going door-to-door selling security systems. The problem is that it was after dark.

City building permit valuations dip during April

There were no new home construction starts and no major commercial building permits issued by the City Planning and Zoning Department during April according to the report issued by Director Shontrell Roque.Her department issued 44 permits with a valuation of $386,151.
