Waste Connections Bayou Inc., a waste management provider serving Natchitoches Parish for more than 20 years, is responding to the recent article from Parish President John D. Salter regarding the Parish’s proposal to take over garbage hauling and transfer station operations.

Construction on Alost Hall remains on track for a Fall

Construction on Alost Hall remains on track for a Fall2025 opening. The 73,200 square foot structure will feature multipurpose classrooms, a large multi-functional area, simulation labs, training areas, a café, an administrative office suite and space for 60 faculty offices.

‘One Big, Beautiful Bill’

Republican Louisiana U.S. Sen. Bill Cassidy was one of many Republican senators who met with President Donald Trump at the White House late Wednesday to discuss the “One Big Beautiful Bill” that passed the House by one vote.

Pick up Your Brush is this month

Northwestern State University’s Office of Electronic Learning and Global Education will offer a Pick Up Your Brush painting class on June 12, 19 and 26 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on the second floor of South Hall. The fee is $45.
