‘Tall Tales,’ ‘Medieval Madness’ to highlight NSU art camps

Registration is open for summer art camps at Northwestern State University.Sessions 1 and 2 are geared to students ages 5-11 with 45 spots available for each session.Session 1, “Tall Tales,” will be June 26.

Northwestern State University’s is offering a Career Connection summer camp for students aged 13-15 on July 9-10. The camp is free. Registration is now open on a firstcome, first-served basis at www.nsula.edu/ career-connection.

Northwestern State will host robotics and engineering camps

Northwestern State University’s Department of Engineering Technology will host two STEM educational camps this summer for middle and high school students.Robotics and Engineering Camp – Junior will be May 27-29. This camp is designed for students ages 9-12 and will accommodate up to 40 participants.

NSU’s Destination Science camp will be June 23-27

Northwestern State University’s School of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics will host Destination Science Camp June 23-27.

Senior dance concert will be at LSMSA auditorium

The Northwestern State University Department of Theatre and Dance will present its annual Senior Dance Concert on Sunday, April 26, at 7 p.m. in the Treen Auditorium at the Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts. Admission is free.

Conservationists request sighting reports of rare bird of prey

The American Bird Conservancy, Orleans Audubon Society, and Avian Research and Conservation Institute have partnered to help the Swallowtailed Kite population recover in Louisiana and across the southeastern U.S.International Paper is assisting them with landowner contacts and outreach.
