Parish Council will meet Tuesday

The Parish Council meeting will be Tuesday, Jan. 21at 5:30 p.m. on second floor of the Natchitoches Parish Courthouse.The change is because of the observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. holiday Jan. 20.

St. Mary’s, Immaculate Conception will host March for Life event

The community is invited to attend the fourth annual Natchitoches March for Life hosted by St. Mary’s Catholic School and The Minor Basilica of the Immaculate Conception Church.The event is scheduled for Friday, Jan. 24, on the riverbank stage at 10 a.m. with the March beginning at 1 p.m.

Beginning ceramic class at NSU

A beginning ceramics class, “Playing in the Mud,” will be offered through Northwestern State University’s Office of Electronic Learning and Global Education starting Jan. 23. The class will be held on Thursday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. through Feb. 27 in Room 113 of the Fine Arts Annex.

Basic private investigator training to begin at NSU

Northwestern State University’s Office of Electronic Learning and Global Education will offer a 40-Hour Basic Private Investigator Training Course on Jan. 31– Feb. 2 and Feb. 7-9 in the secondfloor classroom of South Hall on NSU’s Natchitoches campus.The class will be on Friday from 6 p.m.
