Man arrested after incident at restaurant

A Campti man is in custody following a stabbing that occurred Friday, Dec. 6. at a restaurant on University Parkway. Around 5:55 a.m., Natchitoches Police Department officers responded to a restaurant in the the 5000 block of University Parkway in reference to an employee being stabbed.

The proposed amendment put on the Dec. 7 ballot by the Parish Council failed with 73 percent of voters, equating to 1,601 votes, saying nay. A total of 580 voters were in favor of the measure. Voter turnout was nine percent.
