City Council adopts new power supplier LEPA

The City Council voted to change its energy supplier to LEPA (Louisiana Energy and Power Authority) at the Council meeting Monday.

Short-term rentals, Airb&b applications plentiful at Council

The City Council introduced seven planning and zoning ordinances that are requests for rezoning for short-term rentals or Airbnbs. The applications were approved by the Planning and Zoning Commission at its Dec. 3 meeting.

Permit for new warehouse is among Parish Government building permits

The Parish Government Planning and Zoning Commission issued 27 permits in November with a valuation of $2,265,434. The largest permit by far with a valuation of $736,174 was issued to Tarver Industries/ Cane River Waterway Commission for an assembly building to be used for storage.
