Council nixes ‘multi-family duplex’ on Cypress Street

The City Council members were listening to Cypress Street residents Monday who objected to an appeal from developers wanting to build a “multifamily duplex” on the street in the Natchitoches Historic District.

Numerous guilty pleas draw years of prison time

District Attorney Billy Joe Harrington announced this week multiple defendants entered guilty pleas in Division B of the 10th Judicial District Court, Judge Lala Sylvester.Kaiden Burks, 17, of Natchitoches, pleaded guilty to Second Degree Robbery.
