Steel Band Workshop at NSU will teach how to play and then perform

Northwestern State University’s Steel Bands will host its Annual Steel Band Workshop on Friday, May 1 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the William Brent Band Room in the New Fine Arts Building. The concert will be held that evening at 6:30 p.m. at the Natchitoches Downtown Riverfront Stage.

NSU partnering with Many PD to offer “Technology in Today’s Investigations” course

Northwestern State University and the Many Police Department will offer training in using the latest technologies in criminal investigations May 11-12.

State Police investigating fatal wreck on Hwy. 71

At approximately 12:11 a.m., Louisiana State Police Troop E responded to a fatal crash on U.S. Highway 71 near Louisiana Highway 1226 April 16.. This crash claimed the life of 23-year-old Jacob R. Ingram of Bossier City.

Senate approves agent oversight on NIL deals for high school, college

The Louisiana Senate unanimously passed a bill Tuesday that would provide protections for high school and college student-athletes engaging in Name, Image and Likeness contracts.
