The City of Natchitoches used social media platforms Sunday morning to inform the public of a power outage affecting portions of the west side of town and the downtown area. The outage was the result of a transformer catching fire.
Utility crews worked to restore power to all affected customers quickly and safely. Customers told the Natchitoches Times power restored in an hour.
