Victor McShan of Amite, Louisiana, traveled to Washington, D.C. as the official delegate representing dog breeders for the State of Louisiana at the 2025 Pet Care Community D.C Fly-In with the Breeder Leadership Council (BLC).
McShan joined lawmakers and a diverse group of pet profess ionals-including breeders, trainers, aquatics specialists, exotic pet caretakers, and veterinary service providers-for a multiday advocacy and listening tour.
The delegation met with congressional offices, including those of Senator Bill Cassidy, Senator John Kennedy, and Representative Julia Letlow, to share first-hand perspectives from the pet care community.
