Library summer reading program

59 children and 30+ grown-up kids came to see Harvey, Mr. Tim and Mrs. Laura last week during the Red River Parish Summer Reading Program last Monday.

4-H Volunteers at NWLA Food Bank

Red River 4-H paired up with Bienville and Caddo 4-H to learn about food insecurity and volunteering at the food bank today! Thanks Mrs Elizabeth, our Nutrition and Community Health Agent, for teaching us all about food insecurity and setting us up to go volunteer!

Summer Reading Program returns July 8-9 with puppet show

The free shows, like The Dinosaur Experience, are part of the Natchitoches Parish Library’s Summer Reading Program (SRP), held Wednesdays and Thursdays at the Natchitoches Parish Library, Natchitoches and Campti branches as well as the Riverbank Stage.

Antoon golf tournament raises $7,000 for student scholarships

The 11th annual Johnny Antoon Memorial Golf Tournament raised more than $7,000 to support scholarships for Northwestern State University students. Twenty-four teams competed in the June 6 event that honors the memory of one of NSU’s most loyal supporters.

Summer Dinner Theater to present ‘Country Summer Nights’ revue

The NSU Summer Dinner Theatre will present the music revue “Country Summer Nights” July 14-18 and 21-25 on the stage of the A.A. Fredericks Auditorium. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and dinner begins at 6 p.m. Pia Wyatt is the director. Jason Thomas is the musical director.Tickets are $60.
