Two of the Demons’ nine Southland Conference regular-season championships have come in years ending with 5.Those title-winning teams will be honored during the final weekend series of the 2025 season when the Demons host McNeese at Brown-Stroud Field from May 9-10.

Three strong showings from the Northwestern State relay teams highlighted the second and final day of competition from the Northwestern State track and field teams at the Michael Johnson Invitational on the campus of Baylor.

Behind HIllen, resilient Demons take series from Lamar

It took the Northwestern State baseball team 22 innings of its series against Lamar until a Demon pitcher threw a pitch with a lead.Once the Northwestern offense gave Trent Hillen an advantage, the junior right-hander did not let go.

The LA Lightning 11U baseball team are the undefeated champions, 5-0, in the USSSA City of Lights Classic hosted at PARC Natchitoches over the weekend. The team is coached by BOM Financial Services’ Donovan Ohnoutka.

To most people, family is a major part of their lives.For Northwestern State sprinter Galen Loyd, it is even more important.Loyd has seen a lot during his young life, starting with an accident with his father that left him in a wheelchair.
