Northwestern State baseball team’s sixgame tour of the Sun Belt Conference kicks into high gear this weekend when the Demons return home to face Troy.The visiting Trojans will bring one of the nation’s top offenses to Brown-Stroud Field for the three-game set, which features a pair of 6:30 p.m.

Demon errors lead to loss to Ragin’ Cajuns

A big first inning put the Northwestern State baseball team in comeback mode early Wednesday night at UL Lafayette.A few innings later, a similar situation sealed the Demons’ fate in a 144 loss to the Ragin’ Cajuns at M.L. “Tigue” Moore Field at Russo Park.

As a student-athlete and aspiring nurse Maygan Shaw is blazing a trail at Northwestern State University. The junior sprinter from Pineville finished ninth out of 71 participants with a time of 54.63 in the 400-meter dash and, along with teammates, recorded another personal best (24.

The Northwestern State baseball team’s first mid-week game of the season came down to execution.Visiting ULM made the most of its opportunities, especially with two outs, while the Demons were mostly unable to as the Warhawks downed Northwestern State, 92, on Tuesday night.
