Gumbs finishes ninth in discus

In a group of some of the best throwers in the world, Northwestern State thrower Djimon Gumbs proved he belonged on the big stage. Gumbs, a senior for NSU, tested himself in South America and did not disappoint, throwing a 54.70 meters in the discus in the Juegos PanAm.

Spitzer to be a named to Second Team All-SLC

Being one of the top goal scorers in the Southland Conference was enough for Taylor Spitzer to be named Second Team All-SLC, the conference announced Tuesday.
