Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame and Northwest Louisiana History Museum is open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. Admission is $6 adults; $5 students, seniors and active military; children 6 and under free.

Treasures reception is Friday at Events Center

This year’s Natchitoches Treasures are Barbara Bailey, Sandra Dickens, Hope Ferguson, Oneda Morgan, Mary Ann Nowlin and Carolyn Roy.A ceremony to recognize and honor the ladies will be held Friday, Oct. 20. The ceremony begins at 11 a.m.

Guest artists will perform Sunday

A guest artist recital featuring Shreveportbased musicians Johnum Palado on violin, Thomas Hundemer on horn and Robert Cruz on piano will be presented on Sunday, Oct. 15, at 3 p.m. in the Varnado Hall Ballroom. There is no admission fee.

Alpha Kappa Alpha will present debutantes

Thirteen young ladies will compete for the title of Miss AKA Debutante and the honor of being selected as a member of the royal court.The Debutante Presentation will be held on Oct. 29, 2023 at 5 p.m., on the campus of Northwestern State University at Magale Recital Hall.
