Students remember professor who inspired and influenced

Northwestern State University’s Department of Biology and Microbiology and campus chapter of the American Society of Microbiology presented a donation of $2,000 to the Dr. Jerry Allen Memorial Scholarship Sept. 15.

Miss Merry Christmas Pageant Contestants

Nineteen young ladies go on stage Saturday to compete for the title of Miss Merry Christmas and the honor of being selected a Christmas Belle.The annual Natchitoches Queens Pageant will take place Sept. 23, at 4 p.m., on the campus of Northwestern State University at the A. A. Fredericks Auditorium.
