The lone ballot issue for Consolidated School District No. 11 asking voters to consider a $12.545 Million bond for 10 years to fund critical infrastructure projects at Provencal Elem/ Jr. High School narrowly passed.

2025 Christmas Season begins with ‘Turn on the Holidays’

The 2025 Christmas season takes flight Saturday, Nov. 22, with “Turn on the Holidays” celebration. There will be music on the Riverbank Stage with Louisiana Sidemen jamming at 3:30 p.m.followed by Kelli Roberts Band at 6 p.m.

A literacy grant awarded

American Indian Crafts Day is Dec.6

6Craftspeople from throughout the region will display, demonstrate and sell their arts and crafts at the Annual American Indian Crafts Day at Northwestern State University on Saturday, Dec. 6. Crafts Day is from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. in the Williamson Museum in Room 208 of Kyser Hall.

Area performers are invited to participate in the 17th annual Natchitoches-NSU Multicultural Christmas Concert on Dec. 2 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.at the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame & Northwest Louisiana History Museum located at 800 Front Street in Natchitoches.
