Clocks spring forward for an extra hour of sunlight in evenings

Daylight Saving Time begins Sunday, March 8, at 2 am. when clocks are moved forward one hour to 3 a.m, thus losing one hour of sleep.That also means losing an hour of sleep so if you don’t want to be to be late for church and other appointments on Sunday remember to move your clock forward one hour.

Quake recorded west of Coushatta

According to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), another small earthquake was recorded about four miles west of Coushatta Tuesday, Feb. 24, at 1:44 a.m.At a magnitude of 2.9, shaking is considered minor. Many residents may not have felt it, and no damage was reported.

Red River Parish Arrests

Louisiana Probation and Parole arrested Jatorian Watson, 23, on Feb. 20 for parole violation. He was incarcerated with no bond.Coushatta Police Department arrested Tarantula White, 24, on Feb. 21 for domestic abuse battery.
