Shooting victim airlifted to Shreveport

The Natchitoches Police Department is investigating a shooting that took place Amulet Street.On Thursday, Feb. 26, around 6:46 p.m., NPD officers were dispatched to Natchitoches Regional Medical Center in reference to a gunshot victim. The victim was suffering from several gunshot wounds.

CAPA will honor Hall of Fame members at concert March 7

CAPA Hall of Fame to add three members Christopher Brown of Newark, Texas, Sherman Desselle of Houston and Mark Poole of Little Elm, Texas, will be the 202526 inductees into the Dear School of Creative and Performing Arts Hall of Fame at Northwestern State University.

Main Street America has announced that Natchitoches’ own StoryBrew Coffee Café is a 2025 Backing Small Business Grant Recipient.The gran is in the amount of in the amount of $10,000.The grant dollars, presented by American Express, were awarded to 400 small businesses around the country.

NSU to have TEAS Test Boot camp

A TEAS Test Boot Camp will be offered through Northwestern State University’s Office of Electronic Learning and Global Education on Saturday, March 7 from noon until 3 p.m.in the second-floor classroom of South Hall on NSU’s Natchitoches campus.Registration is $40 if completed by Feb.
