2 new homes among July building permits

The City of Natchitoches Planning and Zoning Commission issued 44 building permits with a valuation of $813,480 during July according to the report issued by Director Shontrell Roque.Notable are two new home construction starts being built by Rhodes Properties and Development.

Volunteers get Natchitoches revved up for Fall 2025

The City of Natchitoches has been blanketed in purple. Student volunteers delivered Northwestern State University yard signs, flags, stickers and other items that show Demon pride to businesses and residences in the first wave of the Proud to Be Purple campaign.

Dark Woods Adventure Park will host fundraiser

There will be a fundraiser for Cane River Discovery Center at Dark Woods Adventure Park Friday, Sept. 12.The mini-golf classic will be at the park at 4343 University Parkway from 5:30-8 p.m. There will be family games, food and fun for all ages.
